A Winter
Wonderland of Great Achievements at Region 15 Schools
Visitors to the Region 15
website have already seen its benefits this year. All the latest
information regarding school delays and cancellations are
immediately posted on the
red scroll on the
home page of the website. So while you're drinking your morning
coffee and hearing the snowplows roar by your driveway, check
the website for the day's most up-to-date school information.
Then pour yourself another cup of coffee and enjoy watching the
snowflakes fall.
Do you want to see where your
child's school ranks against other schools in Connecticut? Take
a look at the newly-posted School Profiles as listed in
the blue, left-hand column. The reports are grouped by
"regular education by district", "regular
education by Region 15 school" and "special education
by district." Not surprisingly, we have very hard
working students and staff here in Region 15.
Please be aware that Thursday,
Dec. 23rd is NOT an early release day. But there is no school on
Dec. 24th. Happy Holidays.

Did
You Know? NEW PHS FIELD & GYMNASIUM
|
Each month, the PTO
publishes a one-page informational bulletin, entitled "Did
You Know?" December's Did You Know informed parents about
the new
PHS field and gymnasium.
Check the Region 15 website,
under Parent-Teacher-Organization, for the most up-to-date Did You
Know bulletin.
Grad Night is an all-night,
alcohol-free celebration for the Pomperaug High School graduates.
But the Grad Night Committee needs your help.

"Grad Night is the community's
gift to the graduates," said Andrea White, coordinator of
Grad Night. "We're looking for committee members from
throughout the district, including the middle schools, elementary
schools, as well as citizens without children in the school
system."

Don't miss a meeting! Check here for the month's activities at the
schools. Click on a school below for Board of Education
meetings, holiday events, and
state and/or college-prep tests. New this year: all Board of Education meetings will be held
in the PHS All-Purpose Room #269 at 7:30pm. PHS
