REGION 15 CELEBRATES AMERICAN EDUCATION WEEK: NOVEMBER 16 - 22, 2003 Board of Education Praises School Staff, Bus Drivers, Aides November 18, 2003, Middlebury/Southbury—November 16 - 22, 2003 is American Education Week and the Pomperaug Regional School District #15 Board of Education recognizes the exemplary work of the educators, school staff, and others who keep the children safe and healthy, as well as help them achieve. American Education Week is a week set aside by the National Education Association to honor teachers, staff, school bus drivers, cafeteria workers, substitute teachers, and other educational support personnel who positively impact our school communities. “Helping students achieve success is the cornerstone of the work of teachers, aides, bus drivers, support personnel, and others whose services to schools are invaluable. We honor these men and women who educate the students, drive them to school, provide them a nutritious meal, and keep their school building clean and safe. On behalf of the Pomperaug Regional School District 15 Board of Education, we would like to recognize their hard work and expertise by telling them 'thank you,'” said Joseph Drauss, Region 15 Board of Education chairman. |
