EDUCATIONAL LEADERS FROM CHINESE SISTER-SCHOOL VISIT REGION 15 The Principal and two Senior Teachers from No. 1 High School of Laiwu City, Shandong Province, The People's Republic of China recently received permission to come to Region 15 as the next step in the two schools’ Sister-School Exchange. In April 2007, Dr. Yolande Bosman, Region 15 Director of World Language and Dr. Lois Lanning, assistant school superintendent, participated in a professional exchange with the sister school in China. During the 10-day field study, participants built a strong relationship for continued collaboration, and exchanged knowledge and ideas about educational practices. “We are honored to be able to reciprocate in kind when our guests visit the District,” said Dr. Lois Lanning. “Having them here will be an opportunity to learn and understand much about each other’s education and culture. I believe this exchange will help better prepare our students for the globalized world they will work and compete in.”
