Goal 1: Skills for Learning
The student acquires the attitudes, knowledge,
aptitudes, and skills that contribute to effective learning in
school.
The student will:
1. Explain how making mistakes is
part of learning.
2. Practice effective speaking and listening skills.
3. Review the importance of listening.
Goal 2: School Success
The student employs strategies to achieve success
in school.
The student will:
1. Follow school rules.
2. List the services provided by school counselor.
3. Practice self-control and individual responsibility.
4. Explore the idea of how they are connected to family, school,
and community.
Goal 3: Academics to Life Success
The student understands
the relationship of academics to the world of work and to life
at home and in the community.
The student will:
1. Explain the need for
cooperating in a group.
2. Use cooperation skills with classmates.
Goal 4: Investigate Careers
The student acquires the skills to investigate
the world of work in relation to knowledge of self and to make
career choices.
The student will:
1. Review the concepts of work.

Students will employ strategies to achieve future
