Curriculum Review Status: The curriculum planning occurred in 2004-05. Staff began developing a new curriculum in 2005-06. The first phase of the development occured in 2006-07, with phase 2 in 2007-08.

Language Arts Links

"The Six Traits of Writing": The 6+1 Trait model is more than an approach to teaching and assessing writing. It is a vocabulary teachers use to describe their vision of what good writing looks like. The 6 Traits are defined as Ideas, Organization, Voice, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency, Conventions, and Presentation.
