Region 15 has a staff and student produced television show called “Inside the District”

  “Inside the District” returns to Region 15 TV WTCH (Channel 16 in Southbury and 17 in Middlebury) for its second season of programming.

The first episode of the new season can be seen beginning Tuesday, November 7^th at 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

“Inside the District” showcases student and staff achievements while giving students an opportunity to learn about video production, editing, lighting and set design.

This season the show welcomes new director and Pomperaug High School (PHS) Technology and Video teacher Charlie Vlahos.

Filmed in the studio at PHS with exterior footage from around the District, the program is hosted by Southbury parent, Anna Teardo and co-hosted by a different Region 15 student each episode.

The latest episode of the show features the Long Meadow Elementary School PTO’s After School Enrichment Program and Region 15’s BEST Program, a mentoring program for new teachers.

The “Coaches Corner” is a regular segment on the show with interviews conducted by a student host.  This month’s episode features the Memorial and Rochambeau Middle Schools’ Cross Country teams.

Other regular segments include “Music from Around the District” and the “Superintendent’s Mailbag”, where questions sent in by the viewing audience are answered by Region 15 Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Frank Sippy.
