5/17/2019 - 14 HALO Award Nominations for PHS!

Congratulations to the Pomperaug High School Theatre Company who has received 14 nominations for the annual Seven Angels Theatre sponsored HALO Awards for their productions of Anything Goes and Radium Girls.  The annual High School HALO Awards honors high school students’ achievements in all aspects of theatre.  Pomperaug High School will join over 60 high schools from across Connecticut participating in the 16th annual event this year at the Palace Theater in Waterbury on May 28, May 29 and June 3, 2019.

Nominations for the musical production Anything Goes include:

  • Best Orchestra by Pomperaug High School Music Department
  • Best Choreographer – Grace Lomaro
  • Best Specialty Ensemble - Ben Bernard, Nate King, Logan Nicolari & Morgan Phillipe as The Sailor Quartet.

Nominations for the production Radium Girls include:

  • Best Performance By A Featured Actor In A Play - Dan DeCarli as Edward Markley/Dr. Von Sochocky
  • Best Performance By A Featured Actress In A Play - Isabella Watson As Katherine Wiley
  • Best Costume Design - Marina Matozzo & Emily Douyard
  • Best Hair And/Or Makeup Design- Isabella Watson
  • Best Props Design And/Or Management- Katie Dowling
  • Best Performance By A Supporting Actor In A Play - Jason Winter as Tom Kreider
  • Best Performance By A Supporting Actress In A Play- Ella Storey as Kathyrn Schaub
  • Best Performance By A Couple Or Dynamic Duo In A Play- Reese Nguyen & Logan Nicolari As Nancy Jane Harlan & Jack Youngwood
  • Best Performance By A Leading Actor In A Play- Christian Winter As Arthur Roeder
