The students of The Panther Project Robotics Team 2064 at PHS would like to extend an invitation to you to attend the FIRST Connecticut Region this weekend at the CT Convention Center.

   The FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) program is in its second year in the Region (LMES FIRST Jr. Lego League Enrichment Program, MMS Mindstorm Mustang FIRST Lego League, and PHS FIRST Robotics Competition). 

   FIRST is designed to provide an engineering, design and science program through an exciting competitive environment.

   The culmination of the TPP’s (The Panther Project) intense six week build period is the FIRST CT Regional. 

   The PHS team will compete with 62 other teams from the Northeast.  There are over 1,507 teams internationally participating in the program.  Not only is the CT Regional an exciting competitive event for the students, it is also and opportunity to showcase their talents, develop their networking and teamwork skills, and meet with many of the business leaders and top educators in the engineering and science fields.  The students have the availability to meet with representatives from 16 Colleges and Universities at the CT Regional.  FIRST is proud to provide a scholarship network that will offer over $9.5 million in scholarships to their participants this year alone.
