Responsibility of Building Principals–Transportation

Policy

It is the policy of the Region 15 Board of Education that should a serious disruption occur on the bus route, the driver may return to the school and shall report to the school Principal or person in authority.

Should a driver be placed in the position of driving a bus load of children back to a school, it is the school’s responsibility to have a “person in authority” on hand to deal with the problem.

In each school in Region 15 someone must be in “authority” from the time the first bus arrives in the morning until the last bus drops the children at their homes at the end of the day.

The Principal is the primary authority in each building.  If the Principal is not in his/her building at any time during these periods, he/she shall designate a person to be in authority.
