certified personnel educational leaves of absence

Policy

It is the policy of the Region 15 Board of Education that a leave of absence may be granted by the Board of Education at the recommendation of the Superintendent to certified personnel for educational purposes, when the course or workshop conflicts in time with the session of school.  Such leave shall not be deducted from special and sick days.  The Board shall reimburse all teachers for any or any portion of reasonable expenses for leaves approved by the Superintendent to attend a convention or conference, or to observe activities in another school system.
