3.

Nutrition standards for school foods and beverages, including school meals served in the cafeterias and other foods and beverages served in schools.

4.

School-based activities that promote student wellness.

5.

Communication and promotion of health messages to families and the community.

6.

Measurement and monitoring of district wellness policies, goals and guidelines.

The Region 15 Board of Education has established a Wellness Committee.  The charge of the Committee is to review existing policy, remain informed of current research, and recommend program and policy improvements.
