| Author/Illustrator Melissa Sweet visited LMES on April 22nd. Not only were the children treated to a slide show and a story, but she also gave everyone a special sketchpad and pencils. During the program, the children were able to sketch along with her as a special art lesson! | ||

The LMES Printing Press gives our children an opportunity to become real authors by publishing their own books. Coordinated by Mrs. Groman and Mrs. Richardson and run by parent volunteers, hundreds of books will be produced each year. |

| Field Day one again offered a great time for students and staff and parent volunteers. Games throughout the morning were followed by a water balloon toss and tug of war. A big thank you to Mrs. McVerry and Ms. Sauvron who organized the whole day. | ||
