The new eighth grade art program is off to a great start. Mrs. Kyle and Mr. SantaMaria work together with the grade eight art students on self expression through visual art. Students were guided to create an icon to represent them and place this icon into their hand-made “nest”. A multitude of media was explored for this project and the eighth grade art students met the challenge with great success. With a strong base in three dimensional design the grade eight art curriculum seems to be proving itself exciting and new for both the students and the teachers. More to come! |
