Collection
The Encarta Lesson Collection has been developed by practicing teachers. Lessons have been
tested in real classrooms. They are supported by references to Encarta Encyclopedia,
Microsoft Bookshelf, and include hot links to Encarta Online and other relevant web sites.

Find links to hundreds of lesson plans from a wide variety of sources including museums,
educational organizations, universities, school districts, government, and commercial
sites. Plans are organized by broad subject. Brought to you by the Northwest Regional
Education Laboratory in Portland, Oregon.

Detailed lesson plans are aranged by subject and sub-division. Lessons include: grade
level, overview, purpose, objectives, materials, and procedures. Many of these lessons
were developed by the Columbia Education Center, a consortium of teachers from 14 western
states.
