MEMORIAL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT GOVERNMENT HOSTS TSUNAMI RELIEF CONCERT

March 16, 2005, Middlebury/Southbury—The Memorial Middle School student government will hosted a Tsunami Relief Concert on Friday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the school. The concert featured a local Connecticut band, Our Finest Hour, as well as Region 15 middle and high school bands.
 

All proceeds will go to the Connecticut Association of Schools who will use the monies collected from Connecticut schools to rebuild schools, orphanages or libraries in those areas hardest hit by this disaster.

“The kids at Memorial Middle School love to help people; they have a really giving attitude,” said Lindsay Teardo, MMS student and chair of the student government charity committee. “Everyone wanted to help and all the kids on the committee chipped in with ideas for the concert.
