FIFTH GRADE INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PARENTS’ WORKSHEET Here
is a checklist of things to do in preparation for your son/daughter's participation
in the Pomperaug Region15 elementary school band or orchestra program: q
Your
child must return the yellow registration form with two instrument choices to
his/her classroom teacher by M., Sept. 9, 2002. q
Please
attend the Parents’ Night Meeting, W., Sept. 11, 7:30p.m., LMES cafeteria. q
If your
child will be using a pre-played band or orchestra instrument, contact
the band or orchestra director at the telephone numbers listed below to have the
instruments checked. q
If you
are not renting an instrument, please purchase the lesson book (band—Standard
of Excellence, book 1 or orchestra---Essential Elements, book 1) from
your favorite music vendor. q
If you are
renting an instrument, the chosen rental form must be returned with payment for
the rental fee, lesson book, insurance and music stand (if necessary).
Purchasing an instrument is not recommended at this time! q
If you
are renting an instrument from a vendor other than those presented, make sure
your child has the instrument and lesson book in time for the beginning lesson:
