11/4/2015 - Fall Drama Production Opens Nov 13th
The fall production of Julia Edward's Dramedy (yes, there is such a genre!), Lockdown, is scheduled to open on Friday, Nov. 13th in the Black Box Theatre at PHS. Lockdown dramatizes the experiences of fourteen high school students and one very harried substitute teacher in Southern California who are locked in the library of their school for unknown reasons. The concept may seem serious, but the treatment is light, with a touch of The Breakfast Club upon it.
This is true ensemble play - there are no lead roles, and all the actors remain onstage throughout the entire play. Among them are some PTC regulars: Katie Stango, both Sam and Nicole Torino, Abbey Dwight, Chris Fernandes, Gwyn Osborne, Mary, Trudel, Justin Callanan, Natalie Dahl, Jacob Rogotzke, and Ryan DeAngeles. We also have some newcomers to the program: Jordan Aucella, Alisha Tedesco, and Kayla Jones. Rounding out the cast as the one "adult" character is our very own Savannah Moore, and a newcomer, Isabella Watson, is our general understudy.
Our crew is headed up by Elizabeth Styblo, in her first run at being Stage Manager. Emily Pearson is Assistant Director, also for the first time. The other crew leaders are Sophie Stanko fo costumes, Bethany Gracer as Properties Manager, Jess Penzetta as Tech Director, John Watson as Head of Cosntruction, Amanda Clarke in her debut as House Manager, and Lea Claflin as Art Director.
See the flyer with detailed information about dates, times, and prices for each of the six scheduled performances. Please note that this is a Black Box Production with limited seating. Reservations are, therefore, recommended. Thank you.
