Comprehensive School Counseling Program
School Counselors are available to all students. School counselors teach developmental guidance lessons in the classroom at each grade level. Lessons are derived from a written curriculum and focus on a variety of topics including peer pressure, conflict resolution, career awareness, and communication skills. The school counselors facilitate group counseling on topics such as friendship/social skills, children of divorce/restructured families, anger management, grief and loss, “new kids”, etc. Individual counseling is also available.

Peer Mediation (P.H.A.S.E.)
The term PHASE stands for Peers Helping All Students Equally. PHASE is a group of students who have been trained in the process of Peer Mediation. Peer Mediation gives students a chance to sit face to face and talk, uninterrupted, so that each side of a dispute is heard. After the problem is defined, solutions are created and then evaluated. When an agreement is reached it is written and signed. This is all facilitated by a student who is a trained peer mediator. The peer mediator does not take sides, give advice or assume responsibility for solving the problem. The mediator is there to help the disputants solve their own problem. All mediation sessions are completely confidential.

Group Counseling
School Counselors facilitate group counseling on topics such as friendship/social skills, children of divorce/restructured families, anger management, grief and loss, “new kids”, etc.
