Region 15 Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Frank Sippy Holds Talks To Discuss 07-08 School Budget with Members of the Community
Wednesday, April 11, the Region 15 Board of Education will adopt their final Budget Recommendation for the 2007-2008 school year. In a continued effort to communicate the details of the Recommended School Budget and to listen to voter concerns, Region 15’s Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Frank Sippy is holding talks at various venues to discuss the budget with members of the community. Throughout the month of April, Dr. Sippy will be attending PTO meetings at each of Region 15’s seven schools. Wednesday, April 25, all Middlebury and Southbury residents are invited to attend “Town Talk” at Pomperaug High School in the All Purpose Room No. 103 at 7:00 p.m. This event is an opportunity for any member of the community to sit in a relaxed, informal setting to discuss the budget recommendation and ask questions of Dr. Sippy. Thursday, April 26, Dr. Sippy will present the recommended budget to the Heritage Village Civic Association at the Southbury Public Library in the Kingsley Room at 2:00 p.m. All members of the public are invited to attend, learn and ask questions. The April 11th Board of Education meeting is open to the public, and all interested citizens are encouraged to attend. All BOE meetings are held at Pomperaug High School in the All-Purpose Room No. 103 and begin at 7:30 p.m. Residents can tune into R15 WTCH TV, Channel 16 Middlebury and 17 Southbury to view BOE meetings taped LIVE on the night of the meeting and rerun throughout the month.
