The Region 15 Board of Education has asked the Southbury Board of Selectmen to consider adding the position of School Resource Officer (SRO) at Pomperaug High School to the upcoming town budget. Currently, Memorial Middle School, Long Meadow Elementary School, and Middlebury Elementary Schools share a resource officer whose salary is paid for by the Town of Middlebury. if you are interested in learning more about officer Edward Demers, and how he serves our students at MMS, please read this article.

Any parent or guardian who is interested in voicing their opinion on this subject can do so by writing a letter to Southbury First Selectman, Mark Cooper at the address below. Mr. Cooper will copy all letters and present them to each member of the Southbury Board of Selectmen for their consideration.
