Confidentiality of School Records (Policy #5125)
Region 15 ensures confidentiality of student records while providing proper access to these records.

School-Family-Community Partnership (Policy #1110.3) and Parental Involvement for Title 1 Eligible Students (Policy #1110.4)
This School District and the schools within its boundaries, in collaboration with parents, shall establish programs and practices that enhance parent involvement and reflect the specific needs of students and their families.

Additionally, Region 15 provides parents of students participating in the district’s Title I programs substantial and meaningful opportunities to participate in the education of their children within these programs.

Student Privacy (Policy #5149)
Region 15 affords parents and eligible students (i.e. students over 18 or emancipated minors) with certain rights with respect to the administration of student surveys, the collection and use of personal information, and the administration of certain physical exams.

Parent Access to Instructional Material (Policy #6144)
Parents shall be permitted access to instructional material used as part of the educational curriculum for any student. 

Free/Reduced Lunch Eligibility
All schoolchildren, regardless of the household’s ability to pay, must have nutritious meals and milk. The National School Lunch Program is a federally assisted meal program that provides nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to eligible children. Children who qualify under U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines may get meals free or at a reduced price. To determine a student’s eligibility for free and reduced price meals, a parent or legal guardian must complete the meal benefit form and return it to school....

Programs of Instruction (Policy #6144)
The Board of Education has established and will maintain and periodically review a program of instruction that, in the judgment of the Board, best serves the interests of the school district.  The Board shall work with and may delegate responsibilities to the Superintendent and professional staff in determining the specific curriculum to be used in the program of instruction.
  Subjects will include: Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, Library-Media, Technology, Music, Art, Physical Education, Guidance.

Student Field Trips (Policy #5143.1)
The Board of Education recognizes the value and educational importance of group field trips.  Such trips shall be permitted to the extent that they provide the most effective means of accomplishing objectives related to given aspects of the curricular and co-curricular program.

Homebound Instruction (Policy #6173)
Home instruction is to be provided only when no other educational program is possible.

Attendance and Truancy (Policy #5113.2)
Region 15's policy states that regular and punctual student attendance in school is important and that early intervention by staff for student-exhibited truancy behavior is necessary.
