Strategic Plan: Region 15's 2009-2015 Strategic Plan (updated Jan. 2013)
Strategic School Profiles (2010-11): Connecticut law stipulates that each local and regional board of education shall submit to the commissioner of education a strategic school profile report for each school under its jurisdiction and for the school district as a whole. Each profile report will contain information on measures of student needs, school resources, and student and school performance. The primary goal of the Strategic School Profiles is to improve schools through informed decision making. The Strategic School Profiles have two basic purposes:
• to serve as an accountability system which informs the public about what is happening in Connecticut schools; and
• to stimulate school improvement through shared information.

In Jan. 2013, the Board of Education approved the final redistricting plan which also included the adoption of Full Day Kindergarten which will start in Fall 2013.
Connecticut Academic Performance Test (CAPT): The CAPT is a state-mandated standardized test administered by the Connecticut State Board of Education that all public school 10th-grade students in Connecticut must take. If a student does not pass the CAPT, the test will be administered during the student's junior year. Students in Region 15 must pass the CAPT as a graduation requirement.
