Pomperaug Regional School District 15

Interested 4th Grade Students and Parents attended the Region 15 Instrument Recruitment Night, hosted by the Region 15 Band and Orchestra Teachers (and Tri-M Students), on June xx, 2011.

Instrument: Fill out a rental contract and give to your vendor of choice, or mail in completed form and payment directly to vendor by xxxx. The instrument will be delivered to your school for the first lesson.

• Percussionists: Along with a drum kit, please purchase drum sticks (Vic Firth SD9 or 5B)
• Violin & Viola: Ask vendor if a shoulder sponge can be included.
• Strings: Mark your instrument size on your rental contract.

Lesson Book: All instruments will use Essential Elements 2000 (CD and DVD included), except Percussionists who will purchase Teaching Rhythm, by Joel Rothman.

Music Stand (optional): You may wish to purchase a music stand from your vendor.

Important Information

You will receive a lesson schedule when school starts in the Fall.

You will receive your instrument and book at your first lesson.

Only those students wishing to take private summer lessons will be able to receive their instrument over the summer. Ask our rental company to send the instrument to your home.

• Thursday - PES
• Friday - Morning lessons for LMES students; Afternoon lessons for PES students
