Music Philosophy
Music is an integral part of human history, and is essential to the well-rounded education of all children. The ability to create, perform and respond to music emotionally and intellectually has an important humanizing influence. Music knowledge and performance will increase critical thinking skills, concentration, self-discipline, self-expression and self-esteem and as a result, research has consistently shown that students who study music perform better in their academics. The adult life of every student is enriched by the skills, knowledge, and habits acquired in the study of music. Through the study of music, students build positive personal relationships with others, preparing them to live and work in a culturally diverse society.
