Philosophy: In order to develop students’ scientific literacy, the district curriculum is designed to foster an exciting learning environment that nurtures curiosity, investigation and collaboration.

Curriculum Review Status: The Science curriculum is in its Planning stage in 2009-10, with Development in 2010-11.

• FOSS is an ongoing research project dedicated to improving the learning and teaching of science. Assessment is a major research focus of the FOSS staff. The Recent Projects section includes two that are supported by the National Science Foundation to explore assessment through FOSS. As these and other projects mature, we will make results and products available through this website.
