Middlebury Elementary School

The counseling program is designed to provide guidance to all students. The guidance counselor meets regularly with all students as part of an educational program to teach students to work together, to handle peer pressure, to solve problems, and to know the dangers of alcohol and drugs. Middlebury Elementary is also lucky to have a relationship with the Middlebury Police Department. Each year, two officers work closely with our entire grade 5 students on the DARE program which is designed to give students the skills to avoid drug and alcohol use.

The guidance counselor also organizes and runs the "MES Friendly Helpers”.  This select group of fifth grade students works together to provide a number of community services throughout the year.
