Technology
A computer lab is available to students and two computer cards with 25 laptops were added in recent years. Computers may be used for research, writing or skills reinforcement and is available for all classes with a variety of computer software. Every classroom in the school also has a SmartBoard and computers connected by a high-speed, school-wide network.
All computers in the school have the capability of connecting to the Internet or searching our computerized library collection. Through the use of software and staff supervision, student use of the Internet is monitored, however there is no software or supervision that can be 100% effective. It is, therefore, the responsibility of students to not attempt to access inappropriate sites or utilize chat rooms and it is the responsibility of every child to let staff know if they inadvertently access an inappropriate site. Students who do not adhere to regulations may have computer privileges revoked.
