Welcome to Memorial Middle School's Website

Memorial Middle School was built in the early 1950's as a K-8 school for Middlebury and then became part of Region 15 in the 1970's. Approximately 60% of our students are from Middlebury and 40% are from Southbury, which is determined by the parents' address as either east or west of Main Street/Rte. 67 in Southbury.

Our school and the Region 15 system have earned a reputation for providing a challenging and comprehensive instructional program. When you take a close look at our high quality, K-12 academic and unified arts curricula and programs, our CMT test results, and our Board of Education's commitment to attracting and keeping high quality teachers and administrators, you can understand why we are ranked as one of the top school systems in the state.

Prior to becoming principal at MMS, I enjoyed twelve years of teaching in grades 7 through 12 (including ten years at Pomperaug High School) followed by 14 years in administrative positions for grades 3-12. I am enjoying my 11th year working closely with the MMS staff and students.
