Pomperaug Elementary School

All students receive one formal art class per week. Children learn to express themselves through a variety of two and three dimensionsl techniques and materials. Creative processes and the development of decision-making skills are always stressed more than the art product. Emphasis is also placed on developing understanding of different people through experiences with cultural arts. A limited Enrichment Art Program is offered outside of the school day for those children in the upper grades who demonstrate an exceptional talent and dedication for the fine arts.

Please be sure your child brings a smock to art class to protect their clothing.
