Medications at School

Parents must make arrangements with the nurse if it is necessary for a child to have medication during school hours. All medications must be brought to school by the parent or other responsible adult and the medication must be in the original container. A special form which requires a parental signature and physician's orders and signature must be completed and filed in the Health Office before any medications can be administered to the student. This includes non-prescription medications as well, such as Tylenol, cough medicine, etc. No more than a 45 school day supply of medication shall be stored in school. New medication orders must be written each year.
