Pomperaug Elementary School

Computer instruction at PES is fully integrated across the curriculum.  The philosophy that we are imparting on our students is that the computer is a tool, not a subject.  They learn and practice skills while completing projects in language arts, math, science, and social studies.

Students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 visit the computer lab or utilize Computers on Wheels "COWS" with their classroom teacher once a week for 40 minutes.   Additional 40-minute blocks are available to classes on an as-needed basis to complete projects.

Computer technology lessons are developed around the following concepts: Productivity, Ethics, Research, Technology Systems, Change-Social and Human Impact.
