Pomperaug Elementary School

The Region 15 school nursing staff supports student success by providing health care assessment, intervention, and follow-up for all children within the school setting. 

Absence: If your child will be absent or tardy, please contact the school attendance line before the start of the school day. If your child arrives to school after the start of school, escort him/her into the school and sign your child in at the main office (attendance office at PHS).  Absences for travel are unexcused unless the Principal gives a special exception in advance. Please try to avoid scheduling routine medical, dental, and orthodonture appointments during the school day.

Field Trips:  Any student in need of a medication on a field trip MUST notify the nurse’s office one (1) week prior to the field trip. A doctor’s order is mandatory for prescription or over the counter medications.
