Rochambeau Middle School

Chorus is available for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades and offers students an opportunity to sing a variety of pieces from classical, jazz, and pop music.  The musical selections are fun, challenging, and help students to develop their voice, and singing style.  The 6th grade chorus meets twice a week as a full group and in a team sectional.  The 7th and 8th Grade chorus also meets twice a week, once by grade level, and once in men/women’s sectional. Both groups perform in a winter and spring concert.  Advanced singers may audition for the after school Chorale. In addition to performing in the winter/spring concerts, other performance opportunities include the Great East Festival at Six Flags, Holiday Caroling, and singing the national anthem at RMS and for the New Britain Rock Cats.
