Homework Club Letter to Parents
RMS Homework Club Protocols
- The supervising teacher will pick students up at 2:55 p.m. in the All Purpose Room.
- Students attending must come to the All Purpose Room with all necessary materials.

Students should use the lavatory and/or get a drink between 2:45 and 2:55p.m.

The supervising teacher and students go directly to the Media Center without stopping at lockers. Students must come prepared with all materials: backpacks, coats, books, including independent reading books, etc.)

The use of electronic devices, including cell phones and iPods, is prohibited.

No more than three students should be seated at any table.

Supervising teacher will pass a “sign-in” sheet to all students at the beginning of the session.

Students must ask and receive permission prior to working on computers. The work must be related to an assignment and will be monitored by the supervising teacher.

No food/drink is allowed while using technology. Students are responsible for cleaning up after themselves. Sharing food/drink is not allowed.

Students must remain quiet and read independently if work is completed before the session ends.

The Homework Club is not an opportunity for peer tutoring as the setting must be quiet to allow students an opportunity to complete their assignments.

Students need a written and signed pass from their parent/guardian if they are leaving prior to 4:30p.m. This pass must be given to the supervising teacher. If not, their parent must pick them up in the Media Center or supervising teacher's classroom.

At 4:25 p.m., students may return to their lockers in "two at a time" waves to return any books/materials.
