Volunteers Are Important, Valued Members
Each year, I have the honor of recognizing the hard work extended by hundreds of school volunteers just like you -- community members, parents, grandparents, students, business people and seniors – who have discovered that spending time and sharing talents with students is an energizing and worthwhile experience. Region 15 has seen considerable growth in the numbers of school volunteers, with increasing participation by parents, people from the business community, and retired citizens. In fact, this year, more than 2,100 individuals helped make a difference in the lives of our students. As you share your time and skills, students' lives can change. Seeing students enriched in the classroom and grow as individuals is a wonderful benefit of being a school volunteer. Knowing that you play a role in helping students achieve success is the satisfying part. Thank you for becoming involved as a school volunteer. We’re grateful for your willingness to lend us your time, talent and energy. What a gift you continue to be for our students! Volunteers should contact the principal of the school where they wish to volunteer.
