Youth Art Month
Region 15 joins schools and organizations throughout the nation in celebration of Youth Art Month (YAM). According to The Council for Art Education, a sponsor of YAM, this annual observance is designed to emphasize the value of art education for children and to encourage support for quality art programs in schools. Established in 1961, YAM spotlights the study of art and its contributions toward the understanding of our culture and history. Through art education, Region 15 strives to better the human condition by elevating visual awareness and the cultural strength of our community.
