MIDDLEBURY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL RECEIVES CONNECTICUT ARTS ADMINISTRATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD Jack Zamary Is Former Director of Fine Arts for Region 15April 6, 2004, Middlebury/Southbury—Middlebury Elementary School principal Jack Zamary received the Arts Administrator of the Year award at the Connecticut Music Educators Association 60th In-Service Conference on March 26, 2004. The Connecticut Music Educators Association (CMEA) is the largest association of professional educators dedicated to a specific content area in the state. With over 1,200 members, CMEA represents music educators from every grade level in public and private schools, as well as universities and colleges. “Jack is an amazingly talented person; he makes us all proud,” said Lois Lanning, assistant superintendent of the Region 15 school district. “It is a pleasure working with such a bright, enthusiastic, and fun colleague!” Jack Zamary, a past president of the Connecticut Music Educators Association and former director of Fine Arts for the Pomperaug Regional School District #15, is the principal of Middlebury Elementary School. The 2004 conference was held at the Danbury Sheraton in Danbury, Connecticut. |
