We are excited to announce STEM-A-Palooza!, a free, high-energy event designed to make STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) come alive!
This exciting new celebration of discovery and innovation will take place on:
Saturday, September 26th, 2026
10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Pomperaug High School (234 Judd Road, Southbury, CT).
STEM-A-Palooza! promises to be an unforgettable, hands-on experience for learners of all ages, from 3 to 99, across the district and surrounding areas. To ensure the event is a resounding success, we are actively recruiting enthusiastic community members, local professionals, hobbyists, educators, and volunteers from around the state to join the team.
Whether you are a seasoned professional or simply want to support STEM, there is a volunteer position for everyone:
- Bring Your Own Activity: Share your unique expertise by facilitating your own hands-on demonstration, experiment, or interactive informational display.
- Run a Pre-Made Station: Want to lead an activity but don’t have a plan? The planning committee will provide you with a fun, engaging STEM activity to run!
- General Event Support: Help make the day run smoothly by assisting the day of the event.
"Whatever your style, we will provide the platform for your passion to spark an 'aha!' moment for our all," said Dr. Carrie Chiappetta, Assistant Superintendent of Region 15 Schools and event organizer.
Interested volunteers can secure their spot today by filling out the Google Form available on the official Region 15 STEM-a-Palooza website: https://www.region15.org/community/stem-a-palooza.
The community is also invited to follow the event on Instagram @Region15_Stemapalooza.
