Looking for ways to keep your child reading, learning, and exploring this summer? Connecticut Reads offers families a variety of free resources and activities designed to make reading fun, engaging, and accessible.

From visiting your local public library to discovering StoryWalk® installations in Connecticut state parks, there are many opportunities for children and families to enjoy books together while staying active and connected to learning throughout the summer months.

Regular reading helps students maintain literacy skills, build vocabulary, strengthen comprehension, and foster a lifelong love of reading. Even a few minutes of reading each day can help students stay engaged and prepared for the start of a new school year.

We encourage Region 15 families to explore the many opportunities available through Connecticut Reads and make reading part of their summer adventures.
