Region 15 welcomed its newest educators at New Teacher Orientation during the week of August 20th, in an opportunity to connect, learn about the district, and prepare for the start of the 2026–27 school year.

While these educators may be new to Region 15, they bring an impressive depth and range of experience with them. Together, our new staff members bring 137 years of professional experience and have worked in 55 schools prior to joining Region 15.

Their backgrounds span nearly every level and area of education, from elementary, middle, and high school classrooms to special education, school counseling, psychology, health and physical education, music, fine arts, mathematics, English, Spanish, speech-language pathology, and educational leadership. They also bring advanced degrees and specialized training that further strengthen the expertise available to our students and schools.

Just as important as what they know is what they bring to their work each day. During orientation, our newest educators identified many of the strengths they bring to Region 15 include passion, creativity, communication, collaboration, dedication, enthusiasm, perspective, energy, and the ability to connect with students and one another.

Our newest educators bring valuable experience, fresh ideas, and a shared commitment to helping Region 15 students learn and grow.

As they begin their first year in Region 15, we are excited for the contributions they will make - not only in their classrooms and schools, but across our district community.
