Pomperaug High School seniors Lila Kania and Parsh Verma were recently recognized by the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) and the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) at the 42nd Annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet, held at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington, CT.

The CAS-CIAC Scholar-Athlete Program honors two outstanding seniors from each member high school who exemplify excellence both in the classroom and in athletics. Honorees are selected by their schools for demonstrating exceptional academic achievement, athletic performance, leadership, integrity, and dedication—serving as role models within their school communities.

The Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet is the largest recognition event hosted by CAS-CIAC each year, celebrating student-athletes who embody the core values of education-based athletics.
