At Region 15, we’re committed to keeping families informed and involved in their students’ education.

To support this, we use two important platforms: PowerSchool Parent Portal and ParentSquare.

While both tools are essential, they serve very different purposes.

Here's how they work and when to use each:

PowerSchool Parent Portal

Use this platform to monitor your child’s academic progress and official student records.

PowerSchool is the district’s system for managing student data. Parents and guardians can log in to:

• View grades and progress reports
• Track attendance
• Complete back-to-school forms
• Access standardized test scores (e.g., SBAC, NWEA)
• Update emergency contact and demographic information

Recommended for:
✔ Checking academic performance
✔ Viewing attendance history
✔ Completing required school forms

Need access? If you’ve already registered and have been using the platform, you do not need a new login—your existing credentials will continue to work. An invitation is emailed automatically after student registration. If you haven’t received it or need the invite resent, please contact registration@region15.org.

Note: PowerSchool is not accessible over the summer.

ParentSquare

Use this platform to stay connected with your child’s school, teachers, and the district.

ParentSquare is our new, all-in-one communication tool that replaces School Messenger. It’s used for:

• School and class announcements
• Real-time updates from teachers, teams, and school staff
• Bus delay notifications and transportation updates
• Attendance alerts for unexcused absences
• Event and calendar reminders

Even if you don’t log in or download the app, you’ll still receive messages based on your contact preferences.

Recommended for:
✔ Receiving school-wide alerts and updates
✔ Communicating with teachers or coaches
✔ Staying informed about school events and transportation changes
