“These students have worked incredibly hard over the course of the school year, challenging themselves, demonstrating thoughtful research, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of historical themes,” said Sharon Wlodarczyk, Region 15’s History Day Coordinator. “Karl Buckley, LeAnn Cassidy, who are supportive NHD teachers at Memorial Middle School and I, are thrilled to see their efforts recognized at the state level and honored to have them represent our district and Connecticut at Nationals.”

History Day is a nationally recognized academic program that encourages students to explore historical topics through original research and creative expression. The National History Day competition provides students from across the country with the opportunity to present their projects and share their findings with peers, educators, and historians.

Region 15 congratulates all student participants for their dedication and achievements, and wishes the advancing teams continued success at the national competition.
