Rochambeau Middle School (RMS)

Shaan Patel Shaan Patel is an exemplary student who epitomizes the qualities of a top student at Rochambeau. An avid soccer player who excels on the pitch, Shaan shines equally as bright in the classroom. Shaan has had perfect attendance throughout his middle school years, having never been absent or tardy. Shaan has shown unwavering commitment to his studies and extends this excellence outward as one of our trained peer mentors. With a few of his classmates, he has also established a tutoring network (SmartLink) to support students free of charge, an initiative that they hope to continue in high school. Shaan is a spotlight student who has been recognized for the many positive characteristics indicative of our #RMSPride initiative for our school community. Shaan is most deserving of this prestigious recognition and is exceptional both inside and outside of the classroom.

Mickaela Kwenin Mickaela Kwenin is an exceptional student who has maintained high honors throughout her middle school experience. Don’t let her quiet disposition fool you, she is quite vocal as a contributing member of our student government, shines on stage as a lead in one of our school plays, a member of our Chamber Orchestra and Chorale, and a member of our girl’s soccer and basketball teams. Mickaela has been recognized for her service to the greater school community and a student who has been selected as a Spotlight student for demonstrating strong character multiple times. Mickaela works side by side with Shaan as one of his tutors, supporting students during our WIN blocks to help them organize, finish work, and grasp concepts in their classes. Mickaela sets a fine example for all students to follow and has truly shown her ability to be the epitome of a scholar leader.
