The School Counseling Department's mission is to help students focus on academic, personal/social and career development so they not only achieve success in school, but are prepared to lead fulfilling lives as responsible member of society.
We follow the Connecticut Comprehensive School Counseling model which is proactive and preventative in its focus. This is carried out through curriculum, individual planning, responsive services and system support. Consequently, the District will provide to all students the components which satisfy both state and national standards. School counselors work with all students in all grades. Counselor goals are to provide, serve, develop and assist our students to help them meet success.
